Free seeds is a success for a second year in a row

For the second year in a row we have worked with Kings Seeds to provide free seeds for Schools, Clubs and gardening groups in the local area of where Plant Pots Direct is based.

The initiative was born in 2018 when we identified a large amount of our seed stocks were ready to be replenished and in the past were returned to the supplier for them to dispose of. At the same time Schools within the area were requesting donations for gardening clubs, and it made perfect sense for us to pass on the stocks that we no longer needed.

This year having contacted the seed supplier we were keen to do the same initiative again and try our very best to distribute the seed as far as we possibly could within the local area.

As soon as the post on Facebook we had teachers, leaders and organisers turning up in numbers to collect the seeds for their organisations, by the end of the day the box was empty and the whole process was a huge success.

As a business we have been extremely pleased to offer this opportunity to the community, hopefully the seeds will give valuable experiences to the children planting them, strong plants will be nurtured, and the Children will be keen to continue gardening in the future.
